Kettle is a slab serif typeface of nineteenth-century origins with contemporary sensibilities. Its form is inspired by old European egyptians, referencing early specimens from William Thorowgood and Alexander Wilson. Its stencil version features an alternate set of counter-less letters for a heavier look. Kettle’s design is characterized by its low-contrast, flat inner curves and heavy narrow slabs. The Kettle family is perfectly suitable for packaging, ad campaigns, magazines, newspaper headlines and posters. Kettle has an advanced character set with coverage for both Western and Eastern European languages, plus an advanced set of OpenType features.
